Photoshoot ideas

After looking at photographers and their use of light, natural and edited i decided i want the photo for my front cover to be outisde in a park or field, or in front of an interesting window to create an illuminosity on the model through natural light.

Here are the types of windows im thinking i would like to use, as they arent plain and are quite large.

I will do a closeup or med shot for my front cover photo. I would like the model for the cover to look quite unique and sort of rock chic but whimsical and delicate looking. Soft with a hard edge.

What my magazine will be

I want my magazine to be influencial, to give young women a magazine that concentrates on the power, and influence music brings an indiviual, that they can learn from and relate to. I really want to create a magazine thats feminine yet empowering.

Photography i like

All of the photographers i like because all of the pictures i chose from their collections have strong and beautifull women in them, they all use interesting use of lighting and editing to create on overall stunning and interesting picture.

Bert stern
Marilyn Monroes last sitting
I like this photo because of the use of black and white with certain parts in colour, and how even though she is topless its in good taste and looks beautiful because of the flowers its a very real and expressive photo.

Annie leibotvitz

Annie Leibovitz is undoubtedly my favourite photographer she is a chief photographer for Vogue magazine as well as many other mainstream publications. She walks the thin line between commercial and art photography. She has the ability to make fashion spreads both glamorous and interesting at the same time. She creates extraordinary photos that can allure both the public eye as well as art lovers and critics. She iconizes the celebrities and supermodels that she shoots by taking a typical portrait an making it unusual and interesting while still keeping the subject's beauty intact.
I love the way she uses lighting to create different moods in her photos. In the two photos above both women are in unusual positions but they still look in control, powerfull and beautiful, all of your attention is on them and not their surroundings.

Toni frissell

Frissell was a famous fashion photographer who worked for Vogue and Harper's Bazaar. Her photos are contempory and diverse. The majority of Frissell's photos are in black and white and play on light and shadow.

This photo is very elegant and beautifull,  its very free and i love how the horses mane and the womans dress is billowing in the wind.

I like the use of lighting and shadow in this photo and that it is in black and white, its a very sexy and alluring photo.
